Our most recent LiveOak Microfinance success story is Vida who spent five years in prison. During that time he was found and embraced by Jesus, his Lord and Savior. Vida is today grateful to be a part of Freedom Church. It has been more than a year since he left the prison system, and Vida is now an active volunteer at Freedom Church as both a preacher and motivational speaker.

Vida is also a 2015 recipient of a LiveOak micro-loan that helped him purchase his own vehicle and car insurance. The freedom this opportunity afforded allowed Vida to secure full-time employment in Austin. Vida finances his own ministry and labor of love with Freedom Church. Today Vida helps former inmates by boldly preaching the good news of Christ and humbly sharing his inspirational life story.
